SEAMEO TED, with Go Study Global Education and Guilin University of Electronic Technology co-organized the first online Training on ICT Knowledge Capacity Building for vocational and ICT high school teachers from Southeast Asia on 17-19 December 2020.
This training aims to support the needs of the new paradigm happens in teaching and learning in the 21st century for technical-vocational and ICT teachers and to enhance the ICT literacy in Southeast Asia in order for effective use in developing learning and teaching materials.
Two professors for the training, Dr. Huang Meifa and Dr. Zhang Hongmei, have teaching and research experiences in ICT related fields for 30 years and 20 years respectively contributed their knowledge in this training to provide participants with ICT skills and competence.
The core outlines of this training are Communication Networks, Fundamentals, Development, Trend of Modern Manufacturing Technology, the application of IoT and Digitalization and Intellectualization of Chinese Manufacturing. Thanks to the partnership and networking making this training possible.
At least 200 participants from 39 vocational high schools of 5 SEAMEO countries including Timor-Leste (8 participants), The Philippines (73) Malaysia (43) Indonesia (83) and Cambodia (31 participants) attended the training, most of whom have ICT-and-technical related background such as Web Programming, Web Design, IT Networking, Database Management System and Web Application Technology, Computer System and Networking Technology, Automotive Engineering, Food Processing, Electrical Installation Maintenance (EIM), Mechanical Engineering and Information Communication Technology, Civil Engineering, AGRONOMY, Dressmaking & Tailoring, Electronics Assembly & Installation, Food and Beverage Services, Electricity and so on.
