I.School Background

Government Technical High School (Hpa-an) was opend on May 5, 2009 . lt is located near Ye Thar village, about 4 miles north of Zwekabin Mountain in Hpa-an, Kayin Stat. Currently, D.Cho YuMon Ph.D(Chemistry) a professor and principal, has served since April 10,2015.

(A) School mission

To establish first-class vocational education to meet the local demand.

(B) School vision

1. To provide opportunities to learn for everyone who wants to learn technical and vocational training.

2. To provide vocational skill training for young people

3. To produce technically skilled human resources in accordance with local needs.

III. Curriculum

These courses are focused on practice(65%),and theory (35%).Subjects taught include technical subjects an academic subjects. The required instructional hours are 1120 hours a year for each major, including Study Tours, Internship, Cooperation activities.


IV. Activity

All students are also provided with extracurricular activities such as sports, mind lecture , reading circles and English speaking.n addition to regular two-year courses, with permission from the Department of Technical and Vocational. 


Educational and Training, and Ministry of Education, the Government Technological High School, in cooperation with ADRA-Myanmar, Norwegian Refugee Council and Swiss contact, offers short-term vocational training courses create opportunities for trainees to become skillful workers, and resourceful citizens by improving the quality of the work performed in the State.
